Get started

Sign in with Google, create your first page from a template, and find it on your dashboard.

When you finish, your first page is on your dashboard as a Draft. Only you can see a draft until you publish it.

  1. Open the sign-in page and choose Continue with Google.
  2. Pick the Google account you want to use.

Your account is created the first time you sign in, and you land on your dashboard. PressaGen offers sign-in with Google only and has no password of its own. You stay signed in for 7 days; after that, sign in again.

Create a page from a template

  1. Open Templates and choose Use Template on the one you want, or Start with a blank page to start from scratch.
  2. The template opens in the editor, where you can change it right away.
  3. Choose the save icon in the toolbar (its tooltip reads Save this template as my page), or press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac).
  4. When Your page is ready appears, choose Keep editing.

To see a whole template before you use it, choose Live Preview.

Until you save, your changes to a template stay in this browser only. If you are not signed in when you save, your changes are kept in this browser and you are taken to the sign-in page. After signing in, open the same template again from Templates, where your changes are still there, and save again.

Create a page from the dashboard

  1. On your dashboard, choose New Page.
  2. Fill in Page Name and Page address.
  3. Under Choose a template, choose the template to start from. Each one says who it is for and what it is for, and Blank page starts you with nothing.
  4. Choose Create & Enter Editor.

The page address is the last part of your page’s link, /@your-address. See Publishing and your page address for the rules.

Answer a few questions first

A page made from a template opens with up to seven questions: your shop or your name, your headline, one line about it, your phone, your address, a line about your opening hours, and your main link. Each template asks only the ones it can use, so a shop with opening hours is asked all seven and the shortest asks two.

  • Every question can be skipped. Choose Skip for now and the template’s own words stay as they are.
  • One answer can fill several places at once: the name goes on the map, into the footer line and onto the page’s own name together, and a sentence that mentions the template’s name keeps its wording around yours.
  • Your main link goes where its address belongs: a line.me or lin.ee link becomes the LINE button, an instagram.com link becomes the Instagram handle, a wa.me link becomes the WhatsApp number, and any other https:// address joins the list of links in your footer. On a template with no contact card, every kind of link goes to that list instead, labelled with your name and what it is - Harbour Roasters LINE, Harbour Roasters Website. An address already in the list is left alone, and answering again replaces the entry rather than adding another.
  • A phone number must look like one, and a link must start with https://. The form says what is wrong under the question.
  • Everything is applied in one step, so Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) takes all of it back at once.
  • The questions are asked once per page. To answer them again, open Page settings and publishing and choose A few questions first; it writes over the fields you answered last time and asks before it does.

Rename the page first

A page created from the dashboard is titled with the page name you typed. A page saved from Templates starts with the template’s built-in sample title in English, and that title also shows in the browser tab and on shared links.

  1. In the editor, open Page settings and publishing.
  2. In the page details near the top of the panel, choose the current page name.
  3. Type your page’s name and press Enter.

Page language and time zone

A new page uses the interface language you created it in, and the time zone of the computer or phone you created it on (Taipei time if that is not available).

  • The page language sets the built-in card text on the public page, such as the opening status of business hours, and the language search engines see. It does not translate what you write.
  • The page time zone decides when the business hours card shows you as open.

To change either one, open Page settings and publishing in the editor and find Page language or Page time zone.

How many pages you can have

Each account can own a limited number of pages. Plan Quota on your dashboard shows how many you use and the limit. When it is full, saving a template shows Not saved: page quota reached.
