Business hours card
Show your weekly hours and whether you are open right now. A day can have several ranges, and special dates cover days off and different hours until the date has passed.
The business hours card follows your weekly hours and special dates, shows on its own whether you are open right now, and tells visitors when you open or close next. If you take a break between lunch and dinner, give the day more than one range.
Add the card
- In the editor, choose Add card and open the Features tab.
- Choose Opening Hours.
A new card comes with sample hours. Change them to your own.
Set your weekly hours
- Select the business hours card on the canvas.
- Under Weekly hours, find the day and choose Add hours.
- Set the opening and closing time of the range. To split the day, choose Add hours again.
- A day can have up to 4 ranges. A day without ranges shows as a day off. To delete a range, choose Remove hours next to it.
- For a day open around the clock, choose Open 24 hours.
- When several days share the same hours, set one of them, choose Copy to other days on that day, pick the days (or Every day), and choose Apply.
- A range that closes earlier than it opens runs past midnight, such as 22:00 to 02:00. At 1 a.m. the card still shows open, because those hours belong to the day the range starts.
- When two ranges on the same day overlap or touch, they become one range when the page is saved (11:00 to 14:00 with 13:00 to 17:00 becomes 11:00 to 17:00), and the settings say so beforehand. A range that opens and closes at the same time is neither shown nor saved.
For anything customers should know, such as the last order time, use Store Notice.
Days off and special hours
A special date replaces that day’s weekly hours, for a public holiday, a day off or a day you close early.
- To close today: under Special dates, choose Closed today.
- For another date: choose Add a special date, change the date, then choose Closed or Special hours. With Special hours, set that day’s ranges.
- Add a short note, such as Lunar New Year, and the card shows it on that day.
- Once a date has passed, it stops applying, so there is nothing to switch back. Past dates are grouped under Past dates, and Clear past dates removes them all.
Display
- Compact: today and the status light shows today’s hours, whether you are open, and when you open or close next.
- Full: the weekly table shows every day of the week and marks today.
- A card sized 1x1 Square or 2x1 Wide always shows the compact version.
- Clear Show the status light to hide the open or closed light on the card.
Time zone
- Open or closed is judged in the page time zone, wherever your visitors are.
- To change the time zone, open Page settings and publishing and search for it under Page time zone. Change next to the time zone in the card’s settings takes you there too.
- When a visitor’s device is in a different time zone, the card marks the times as local time.
Good to know
- On the public page, the open status updates by itself; reload the page to see the latest at once.
- On the public page, the card’s text follows the Page language, which can differ from the language of your editor.
