Writer bio page template with a newsletter sign-up

A personal page template for writers: a round portrait, your name, a short bio, a weekly newsletter sign-up and your social links.

The demo page of this template

Who it is for

For writers who send a newsletter or keep a column or blog, and want one link for their social bio that turns a reader into a subscriber. The demo is a made-up technology writer, and the page holds only a portrait, a name, a short bio, a sign-up form and social icons.

Swap the portrait first and describe the new photo in its image description. Rewrite the bio to say what you write and how often, make the newsletter description say what readers will get, and replace the social links with your own accounts, deleting any you do not use.

If you want whole essays on the page, The Chronicle template is built for that. If you need a long list of projects and outside links, the Mono Bio template fits better.

Replace these five first

  1. Image & Portrait: Image Description
  2. Rich Text: Headline Text
  3. Rich Text: Article Body (Prose)
  4. Newsletter: Description
  5. Social Channels: Links

Common questions

I do not write on a schedule. Does this still work?

Yes, but say so in the newsletter description, for example that you write when a new piece is out. People subscribe when they know what to expect.

Where do subscriber addresses go?

Open Subscribers in the newsletter card's settings and choose Export CSV. Send your issues with the email tool you already use.
