Event waitlist page template for a sold-out race or workshop
A waitlist template for sold-out races and workshops: event name, date and place, how places are released, and an email form to join the list.
Who it is for
For events with a fixed number of places that have filled up, such as races, camps and small workshops, so people who missed out have somewhere to queue instead of messaging you. The demo is a made-up mountain race in Kyrgyzstan: the race name, place, date and the rule for released places, then a waitlist form.
Change the place label, the event name and the paragraph first, so they give the date, the number of places and when places are released. Say in the form description that you write only when a place opens and in the order people joined, and update the message people see after joining.
An event still open for registration, with a schedule, a venue and a countdown, suits the Ladera template better. For a waitlist before a product launch, start from the Horizon Launch template.

Common questions
Are people on the list told automatically when a place opens?
No. Open Subscribers in the newsletter card's settings, choose Export CSV, and email people yourself in the order they joined.
Can I use it to take registrations before the event is full?
It only collects email addresses, which suits a waitlist. For full registration, replace the form with an Action Button that links to your sign-up form.
